#101 - My favorite Lip Balm Formula

This week's live is a perfect lip balm formula for the season we are heading into. I usually create around 20 lip balms, and mostly those are my little samples in my business I give to someone I meet and, of course, to friends and family. 

This one is a rich formulation, and the beeswax will definitely help to keep the moisture in.  For a beautiful orange, I chose a small amount of Sea Buckthorn CO2. 

Sea Buckthorn CO2 extract is a mild oil with a refreshingly mild scent. It is a high-nutrient source for the skin, containing vital fatty acids, antioxidant vitamins A and E, and beta-carotene, which gives it a deep darker orange hue. A few drops are added, and your formulation will receive this gorgeous orange color. Palmitoleic acid is an Omega-7, and it is a component found naturally in the skin. It has nourishing and hydrating qualities.

I adore Benzoin when it comes to aromas that convey coziness and yumminess. So I added it at 0.25%. You can surely play around with the Essential Oils and simply replace the total of 0.5% with your choice.

The same goes for Sunflower Seed Oil. I did not choose Hemp or Avocado Carrier Oil as they would add a more greenish color to the orange I was going for.
